Differences

  1. Although I may Sculpt, my work is more about human beauty and your work seems more about life, death, and strength.

  2. Reading the words of your cultural background made me quite jealous. I wouldn't trade my past for anything, but I must say, you make mine appear droll! I never had such a diverse background... political views... but never home life. Strictly English, I am. But astounding it is that you are African and Native American. What a treat! Lifestyles were quite different, though we were both educated, I did not attend such a expanded sounding environment. My mentors were close to home. Active your life be! I tried to sustain frequent outdoor activities, but it was difficult because I was sick so often. Never have I been completely surrounded by nature isolated from civilization or participated in drum circles, though how joyful it sounds! Though you grew up in North America, how peculiar your neoclassical art does not reflect. Settings in my poetry usually reflected on my homeland, which is another contrast.

  3. Well one thing is for sure, we both do not have the same cultural background where as my family is mostly European and your family is African- American/Native American. The othe thing I wanted to mention is that we are so different when it comes to the material we use. Although we both have the same type of style, I am more into using pencils and paper, drawing cartoons for the Punch magazine, whereas, you sculpt for the fun of it and to show that women can also be in the art world and to show the strength and power of the people, gaining their freedom and respect.
